Windows offline files alternative ????

Hii Friends,

How are you?

I want to save the files (and files) on my other PC using a peer to peer respect and for that, I think Microsoft files offline is the best solution, because you will not transfer 7 / 8 GB time and often.

But the problem is that the files offline uses a unique feature on the folder% systemroot hard, yes, it is difficult to keep all files in this directory, due to problem of capacity.

Is there a program with a better option to put each item in synchronized folder?

Or any way to solve the problem?

Thanks for reading.

Wednesday,

The only way to solve your problem is to move the cache folder to another partition that has enough space using Microsoft's cache Mover utility.

Unfortunately, the utility is part of Windows 2000 Resource Kit CD and not accessible to the public from Microsoft's Web site. Although quick with a Google search for Cachemov.exe I am sure you can find.

I am not aware of other software can synchronize your files. It is something I am looking into at the moment for another client.

To Tom:

Offline files are not as you say limited to the cached Web sites. As a system administrator Windows 10 years and I can say with certainty that this is an added feature in Windows 2000 as a means of cached files stored on a Windows share of the local machine (usually a laptop) so that they can be on while disconnected from the local network.

Here is a blog with a very short history of the functionality of files offline and, if necessary, improvements in Windows Vista.

files offline has nothing to do with backing up your files, it is to do with caching copies of Web sites you visit on your hard drive so that they do not need ' be loaded next time you visit. It is poinltess especially now that most of the time shift pages in most cases, if the latest version is the only of any use

You can use just microsoft safeguard these safeguards, and schedule it as a task which runs daily or weekly or whatever.

You can buy Microsoft Home server, which keeps copies of all files on all PCs on the network,

you can use imaging solutions like Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image,

but, please, but trying to use the files offline: I cannot even see what can work

download Norton Ghost 12, install it on your PC and create a backup burn on dvd and keep in a safe place and also download Norton Ghost Recovery boot disk and create a CD, you will have to buy the series because it is not free. Even if you format your pc or crash your system, you can get the complete system to create backup ghost
