Is it legal to resell games, videos, softwares, and other products??

Is it legal to resell games, software and videos that you bought?

I had this question in my mind for the past few days, it all began one day with my friend. He bought a video in a retail store for about $ 30. After he and his family have seen, he decided to make a copy of it for backup purposes. A friend of his plan to buy the retail copy of the video for $ 8. The question here is my friend is the retail copy for $ 8, not a copy. Does not affect any of reselling the copyright? I say it's illegal, but my family friend say it is not illegal, because they are the retail copy.

If the retail copies of a video is illegal, then why stores video games has enabled people to buy the old video games and accessories? Do the stores have a special license or something?

its not illegal - people sell games, videos, software and other things on ebay and other sites all the time.

If he sold the copied version is illegal. It is not forbidden to resell the original. People do all the time.

Yes, it is legal, but the products that you sell must come with rights to resell or private label rights. Example site that sells these products is shown below.
