What are the things I'm looking? (Those that I am aware of)

* Good storage space (probably 160 GB)

* A good amount of RAM (1 GB probably)
Latest

* Big Screen (15)

* Good battery (I donno what defines well here)

I am open to even the Mac systems. I donno if pricing. My budget is around Rs 30,000 - 40,000

Could you suggest what you think is the best? A big thank you!

I think you want undoubtedly a MacBook. They Garage Band where you can do with your music. The Internet is a piece of cake to use, and you can buy Microsoft Office for Mac (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Also
with a Mac, your security guarantees to all the equipment and that everything works and be durable, if you have problems, you just have to take any Apple Store and speak with someone face-to - address this subject, instead of on the phone and trying to deal with the ship somewhere in the world to be fixed, then waiting forever for them to fix it and send it back.

perhaps the best reason to buy a Mac is that you can practically not a virus, and you do not need to obtain protection against viruses. Macs are so much simpler to use than PCs, and this is their most simple operating system that makes them immune to the virus. Without fear of a virus, you will know that this is a computer that will last a very long time, and is worth paying a little more.

I love my mac and you should get one too!

Well a Mac would be a good thing. But mac (s) are incompatible with most hard drives. But for documents such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you should get Dell. But DJ and studio software MAC is better. You must also obtain an I-Pod.

consider a purchase in a store and pay for the extended warranty. note the addition of ram later may void the warranty if all get settled before he leaves the store.

This is from my notes, it may be useful ..
Work
always what you need and buy a laptop to function.

Choosing a laptop

=============

You must decide the weight and battery criteria.

1. Weight - If you are going to carry it to and fro to school or office then get a lighter model. An external CD May be an option if you're not burning CDs or watching DVD, you hardly use the CD. Something about less than 2 kg is a lightweight.

2. The battery life - if you ever going to use on batteries, you can go processor and larger screen. You may consider not to buy the battery when needed. You can have two feeds, one at home and the office is good for large heavy laptops.

If you want to use the laptop on batteries May, you choose a smaller processor and a small screen so you can get the hours needed for the battery.

3. Minimum specifications --

Games need more specifications - more RAM and video card features more - more power processor.

As a general rule if:

- a decent video card (for projecting PowerPoint presentations)

- The wireless networking

- Ethernet

- Think of a high-speed hard drive

- Consider hard disk of 80 GB or more

- Consider a DVD burner external or internal one, depending on your needs
Consider
-1 GB of RAM for Windows XP or 2 GB of RAM for Windows Vista

- Software able to update their Web sites

- The security of the Internet and

- Antispyware (free net) is a must for Internet use.

- Easily accessible USB ports

- Built in webcam

- Keys - wireless mice are a pain, get a USB mouse.

- A cornerstone lock

- A bag. Sometimes, the manufacturer of the bag is the best buy

Remember to get the hard drive partitioned into C: and D: drive C may be 30 GB to a laptop d drive is extended through the other.

When you look at the laptops in the store do so:

Vista Click on Start> Control Panel> System and support> system

Go through the results you can see the equipment and Microsoft products are installed in the laptop / PC.

Google
luck!

Vista against XP:

All laptops are sold with Vista on it, May it would be wise to get a higher level Vista Ultimate because it rocks ..

If you want to install your own discs on XP, you must first know if XP drivers to adapt the equipment in your laptop.

Since you paid for your Vista, keep it. In a few months, this will be the norm and it will be functioning mild. It is due to a service pack in question March 08.

If you want to load XP consider the partition of the hard drive and dual boot. Google "dual boot Vista XP" for instructions step by step, but we must not forget a third partition for your records.
