Copying DVDs?

I want to make backups of DVDs that I have. I know there are various software, and I am eager to find the best get the job done without requiring me to become a full-time student. I would like to hear feedback and would also be linked where I could do research.

All the different terminology, formats, and so forth are intimidating.

Similarly, any books you can recommend about this, it would be wonderful.
Thanks a lot

You must make sure you have a DVD burner, then you need a support programme, I propose DVD Shrink, if you type in Google that you should be able to put in place, then download and install it. After your files were stored on it, we need a program like Nero Recode and then put the files on your hard drive on a hard black. Hope this helps:)
