DVD burning dilemma backup?

jorge556,answering to you comment:
I hate to right click on files to see if they are "in good health" on a dvd
Can anybody advice of the best software I need to make a backup
8 concerts on DVD Can someone
me good advice burning software?
Thank you for your time!

DVD currently come in a variety of configurations:

1) Single Layer: 4.5 GB capacity
2) Double Layer / Double Sided: ~ 4.25 Gbytes per side / layer

At the moment, you will not find a DVD containing all 8 GB that you want to save in a single layer per side. If you want to take the road to double layer, you must ensure that your computer and your burner support this option. Finally, if you simply reverse, many DVD authoring software companies offer a built in function only when the backup, will split the backup data across multiple disks if necessary.
