My dad bought a Dell for just over $800. just over a year ago and I want to sell it. What could it go for?

The notebook is equipped with:
Inspiron B130, Intel Celeron M380,
14-inch screen,
512 MB of memory,
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900,
Restore image,
Ultra ATA 40-gigabyte hard drive,
Microsoft XP, Intel
Modem 56K,
Backup media XP Home,
Dell Wireless 1370 Intel wireless
29WHr 4-cell lithium-ion main battery,
Microsoft Office, Word, McAfee 7.0, Windows Media Player 10, DVD / CD-RW.

I instillation all software. Also, when I finally do sell, what should I do about all the programs recorded things?

Thank you,

11,111-Maxwell forces you mention how fast is it as 1.8 ghz
whenever you sell and what all need to do is the recovery process or reformat the computer so that all personnel heart is cleared.
but if and selling on ebay and will have less than half the purchase price heart.
it also depends on how well it works and images and put online.

Laptop prices are so low these days, I have not heard of people who buy most widely used here. But I am sure you can sell it. But in the spirit of Dell were known for their battery over heating problems, which could be a reason for prices to go lower.

If you can make sure your laptop does not have that, and you can prove it, it helps.

200-400 As the first response, check eBay. Perform a search for the specific model you have and on the left side of the page, check the "completed items" which then shows you what systems like yours recently sold. Adjust for minor differences in the configuration and the state and you can get a pretty good idea of what it's worth.

Regarding your data. The easiest (if you do not get a new system) is to copy everything on CD or DVD and store them carefully. I would like to make 2 copies of a slow burn (for better reliability) and keep a copy somewhere else.
