PS3 and Yellow Dog Linux?

mobilecadstudios,answering to you comment:
Sony allows a third party Opperating systems to be installed on the PS3 "Other OS". This is similare adding MOD Chip to the old X-Box and running the OS X Evolution. This allows copying "Backup" Games of the Hard drive.
My question, Does Yellow Dog Linux "YDL" to enable backup of the hard drive? Is there any software that will allow this runonlinuxand? As Game X Copy?
You can not access the RSX chip PS3s with Linux. You have none of the graphic power of the PS3 during the execution of another OS, so you can not play PS3 games through him (and no, not software exists).

In addition, each game PS3 up 50gb, so you should need one hell of an external hard drive to get a decent number of games (I say this because the external ps3 10gb only allows a separate partition for OS).

Basically, there is no way you are ever going to be able to run the games backup. Even if the PS3 is finally hacked, Sony may just release a patch which prohibits consoles future updates and online. There is no modding your console anymore. You just have to finish to ruin a piece of equipment $ 600 (or at least not be able to play online, which is half as fun).
