I am running Windows 95 and believe there is a virus. Have no virus scan and not having luck finding free one!

In response to comment:
The PC runs very slowly on the Internet. Also, when I type, and it takes seconds for the letters to appear. You want to find a scanner for the old software. It is a backup of a machine that will be rebuilt.
are currently available free online scanners likely no longer supports Windows 95. Back in the day, Norton Antivirus is the scanner of choice .... But even if you find a copy, scan or other software, virus definitions are not up to date.
