ACTUALLY iam running out of space I need to copy my dvd fedora 8gb backup system only 5gb left to my reader software

Ty

Well, it may not be possible. Fedora The DVD is already compressed and may not be able to compress much further. But you can try. WinRar has different options that you can select the compression method. You want the option that says "best". It can be time consuming, but it can save space. Another thing you can do is try WinAce. Sometimes it can compress things better. Simply select the best compression method as well.

Hope it helps, but I doubt that you will be able to squeeze in 8 gb 4.5 gb, since it is already compress some at the start.

I do not think it is possible, consult the archive gunzip compression method, it's like twice the compression. Probably the best you have. BTW clean the hard drive to make space.
