According to my experience with Spybot in recent years, and thanks to my Comp Eng. during college, I found that it was a solid program.

It is also a preventive measure to keep spyware on your computer by blocking spyware known methods of entry and trespass.
Although some people recommend using more than one spyware application, it is not a good idea depending on the tool.
If it is a reactive tool and a scan on demand, then it is' correct 'to install along side a proactive tool like Spybot. The reason not to install two at the same time they can mess eith another. You can end up with programs called spyware themselves or hacking tools and making a mess of your system.
I used Spybot in combination with Microsoft Windows Defender from Windows Defender is out and I did not have a spyware infiltrations. These are two free tools.
I voluntarily put in danger by going to sites that are known spyware sites, as well as download spyware known corrupt installers to test my protection and have had no problems with the combination of these two.
When I used Spybot with Adawre More things came through the protection and have been infected.
It has recently been talk of an "opening" of the user interface for the previous version that the seed for free or not and it max your CPU, I recently installed the latest version and to update and there were no issues CPU note that if one scans. But since any spyware be a tool for scanning the max CPU, it is not a problem.
I hope this information is useful and remember not to mix the two spyware tools proactive on the same system, problems arrise.

Is this really a good program or does it slow down your computer. I'll buy super anti-spyware, but I want to have another spyware program as a backup ... I would like to get software expert advice ... not normal ( "yes it works") leave the answers to give and Me Good!
