Should I backup my computer or just save on a disk?

I want to protect music, pictures and a few files on my computer. Should I just buy a flash drive, and save it there? Or should I backup of the computer with a backup software program?

SAVE ON DISC is good. You only need the data.

I hope you BURYING CDs of the data. Floppy disks are ON THE WAY OUT your next computer, and probably will not have one.

Sure to keep copies of all purchase your program, the system and disks RESTORE. You will need this reinstall your programs, in case things go wrong.

Also, find the folder in which your Outlook or Outlook Express stores its data. You may wish to use the functionality EXPORT make a backup of your email.

I want to propose to make a flash drive if you want to store things, a backup computer is not necessary, they are usually reserved for when you encounter a computer problem. In addition, a flash drive is faster, easier, and you can always save more or take some off.

Everything mentioned. 2 may not be prudent. Save the system to keep your programs and updates and put everything else on disk for easy access. Also, if you save the music you can download on IPod or MP3 player.

Even if you make a backup copy, you must save it on another server than the original files. It would be of no use if your hard disk fails. Flash diving work, but I would burn it and two copies. Both
