Free DVD Ripping Software to Backup to Small HD DIVX Files?

Hello. I have a lot of DVD backup to a 500GB portable drive. I can not find a good software DVD copy. I need something free (or as cheaply as possible), not output 1:1 size (unilaterally DVD would 700MB HD, and not 5GB-size DVD), will get rid of Macrovision protection, and production stable AC / HD images. There are plenty 2 hours HD DVD on the sites of sharing files, then there is something outthere! All I can find on the Net are garbage free trials that produce enormous files chopped horrible and want high quality of dollars for him! Please help, gurus outhere!

get Windows Media Player is what I use but make sure u have a hard drive that reads DVDs

You can buy a computer at many stores (DVD) and u can get fitted with a small fee
Or to read the manual on how to install it and do it yourself

I can recommend you convert your DVD to DivX or XviD or WMV. After conversion of a standard films will be about 700 MB (CD size) instead of 5 or 9 GB (DVD Video sizes).

Try using MPEG Joiner of AVS Video Tools
But it is not free

The program is very simple. Read the step by step guide here:

The best way is to try a freeware directory where you can pick up DVD ripping software. Some even come with built DIVX converters, but it really depends ...

Try ..
