Help me pick an external hard drive that comes with software to do a complete backup?

Help! My hard drive on my laptop is about to take a shit. I want to get an external hard drive that will come with a complete transfer / backup of my entire computer contents.

Once I do, and once my old drive takes a shit (fortunately, after the transfer), I loose my operating system and programs, or is there a political will back too? Can I need to replace my hard drive broke on my laptop with a new and reinstall or do I pull off all external?

Please do not help a computer user to genius!

cheaper than the model it will accomplish what I need. Sincerely I am using a Toshiba laptop with windows experience.

I would recommend the Western Digital Premium Edition I drive. It comes in various sizes, and it also includes the software that you want. With software, you can schedule your backups or simply choose to save only some files each time.

why you want outside? Another part of proceeding below, and it will waste battery, and if one dies in the portable you can not transfer your Windows operating system to the new unit. Getting a new internally.

Depending on your budget, you can buy, 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 120BG .. Etc. Poche on an external USB hard drive.
Since you are using Windows XP, it is not necessary to onother software for backing up your files. You can drag or copy and paste files in the new format external hard drive. (Formatting is onother question)

As primary care, better clean up your existing hardisk, go to System Tools, then click on "cleaning disk."
Disable install other programs or games that you are not using.

Use as "registry mechanic" if your computer is slowing down to turn and externally. You can download here

It is easy to replace the HD on your laptop, but better by the computer stores or experienced technician. The reinstallation of your operating system will be necessary.
