I just lived through hell my computer and I went for lost everything, photographs of the lot. It took me 3 weeks to get my computer back to normal life and cost 300 Euros. Is there FREE sotware there that can back up my computer to an external hard drive

Try Cobian. Its freeware and can complete incremental backup system and beyond. I use now and so far, so good. Who, in addition to an external HD and I sleep better. And thank you for reminding me -- his time to save.
