Win XP Reinstallation without data loss?

I want to reinstall my Windows XP. Currently, I installed my software and all programs in D: / while all applications in OS C: I would therefore like to format C: but I want to keep my software and programs as it is. How can I do? Which file do I take that back?

if you format c: \ registry settings will be lost and some programs may not work properly. but if you repair windows instead of formatting, they should be ok.

Most programs require registry settings at work, which will be lost if you reinstall Windows XP. Sorry, but if you reinstall XP, you will need to reinstall your programs. You can keep the program files on D: \ and relocate them where they were likely to save your program settings and data. Make sure you put all your documents on D: \ if not already.

You May not need to reinstall XP ... There is undoubtedly a better solution if you encounter a problem.

If all your software on disk D and C then you should not be safe to format and reinstall Windows XP on the disk C. sure when he asks you to select the format C: Drive. D is your CD a partition or another set of drive. If another player, then unplug it while you do and your data will be safe for sure.

Just a curious question ..
Why are you so reinstall?
