Mac Question: Can you Mac experts out there, tell me how to back up files to a CD?

madame minestrone,answering to comments:
I am very familiar with the safeguard procedures on a PC. but I need to show someone how to save files on its hard drive onto a CD. I think the system is that it uses a Mac OS 9, but I do not know whether or not he has a backup software such as Roxio Easy and accurate instructions will be greatly appreciated. Hi

.

Thank you for the invitation.

As you may know already, Backups, helps prevent the loss of important documents, applications and other software.
You must back up important documents every day by copying the files to another disk (like a floppy or Zip disk, a record shared on a network or an external hard drive).

You must also use a backup application to automatically back up the entire contents of your hard drive.

Reviews of popular Macintosh backup software products can be found on the Web at Macworld and MacAddict websites, for example.

You can find more information on products for backing up your files in the Apple Macintosh Products Guide to guide.apple.com

have a wonderful day.

EDIT:

I also provided a link for you to explore

Hope this helps.

If he has a CD burner installed, it should also be software to support already on his machine. You can test to see if it is putting a blank CD-R in the CD and see what kind of dialog box appears, or if the CD appears on the desktop. You should then be able to simply drag and drop files on the CD. Then you drag the CD in the trash (as if you were ejection). You'll get a message asking something like "do you want to burn this CD?"

I currently have a Mac OS X on my machine at work, but we OS 9 for some time and this is how it worked.

OS9 supports CD in the Finder
I am not sure of the steps but there should be a help section in the toolbar where you can search for help CD
