How much do big software companies (SAP, MS, Oracle) pay for consultants?

in response to your comment:
My small company has a customer (large company), which indicates that we are charging too much. We would like to go back to them and say, "look, these are the current rates for consultants working in large enterprises." I need information on the safeguarding of what these rates are going ... I thanks.

, Big Big companies pay Consultants (SAP, Oracle) of about 1000 by the man. Microsoft consultants get about 800.

I am assuming that the contract will be renewed? - In this case, I would suggest mentioning the price, you can get no-where.

J 'had been used to working for a "Big Company," and I would say one of the following is the real reason -

1) If the person who complains is a person that you have not treated before, when they attempt to justify the removal of the current project manager Big Company and replacing him with themselves.

2) If the person who complains is the current project leader with whom you have been dealing, when they attempt to justify the retention of the same scope in the coming years owing to the Big Company proposed budget cuts.

I would suggest a robust response along the lines of: -

"We have always delivered quality work at a reasonable price. We do not believe that you can get a better job for a lower price, but if you want to give up our services at the end of the current contract, we will respect your decision.

If you later discover our competitors are not quite up to the task and decided to recommit, we regret that we would have to impose a 50% premium on our tariffs.

However, we would be prepared to hold our rates in effect at 10% if you decide to renew the contract exising for next year now. "

Of course you can still lose the contract ...
