Are DVD copying softwares (for making backups) reliable as advertised? If so, which one is the best?

I heard of DVD copying software such as Nero, but am not sure whether they are reliable to do the job. Please let me know if anyone has ideas on better or alternatives.

try using DVD shrink. (Dvdshrink.org) it is a free program that can pass through all copyrights. All you have to do is burn download a trial version of nero (you will not have to use it) DVD SHRINK will simply utilize their programs and burn your dvds

nero works very well for me! But if you use it to copy a DVD movie, use CLONE DVD with DVD
