The internal battery on my HP iPAQ 3955 model is dead and I just order a replacement battery online. QUESTION # 1: Is it relatively easy to open the back of the iPAQ and replace the battery? When my battery is about me, the synchronization software does not load and on the iPAQ cradle dien't work - in a word, it would'nt even light up when I click on POWER, # 2 QUESTION: Is my data still be on my iPAQ?
QUESTION # 3: Any other handheld devices based on Windows or even an HP iPAQ - which has a removable Memory Card / Memory Stick you can simply delete box in your laptop and do backup / synchronization of your data this way instead of what I 'm doing now, which is the first download the software on each computer or laptop I want Sync / Bankup data on my iPAQ, then bear this heavy, heavy with synchronization cradle I plug it between the computer / laptop and iPAQ and wait for hours to enable synchronization.
I prefer to get a handheld Windows-based and I will not use it as a cell

Yes, it is relatively easy to remove the back cover of your iPAQ. Yes your data will be always on your handheld, it has a flash memory. Question no. # 3 ----- Are you asking for Windows Pocket PC / PDA? ... If so, try the Dell Axim series. (they have memory card slots to sync, or you could make wireless)
