Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application?

Well, here are the facts of my situation.

I bought 2 versions of The Sims 2 game on 3-4 years (4 CD and DVD versions).
I then made a backup of two versions on CD / DVD and also in the form of image files on my computer and put the originals away.
Installing and play the game of image files and / or supported CD / DVD worked smoothly.
late 2007, has stolen my place and they took my PC and all my software, including my games.
But it did not phase me too as I found a backup copy of the DVD version lying. It worked very well until recently when after each installation, I get a "please insert the CD-ROM ..." error when I try to play the game.

I looked on the forums to see if someone answers and have tried to contact EA, with little help. I have verified that my serial number are indeed correct as I had previously registered. I tried to install the 4 different computers ... but I still get the same error message.
