Is it legal to burn a copy of Windows ME for a backup?


I have the original Windows ME Disk / with the key I was wondering if I can burn a backup. I still have my old receipt and if the issues that I went to Microsoft.com to see but can not find out.

I know that other people who bought copies and software, and their disc is removed. So, I want to protect myself if my drive is to be unusable. As I knew it was ok for Windows 98. Not sure my window

I am here because the licence application is far too complicated.

Federal courts have ruled that you have the right to make a back-up for personal use only.

as you use it for "personal use only" should not pose any problems.
