You do not have software protection against viruses? It's like a screw without a condom May you be for a while, but sooner or later you'll catch something. Each computer connected to the Internet is expected to run a software firewall and antivirus software.

I realize this does not help you now, but if your files are essential, then it is important that you save before having computer problems. There is no guarantee that you can retrieve files from one computer is already infected.

recovery system utilities and disks often restore your computer to the state it was when you bought it-which would mean he would delete anything on the hard disk was not part of the first installation, including your precious files.

If you can get it to install new programs, then yes, I would like to install both software protection anti-virus and anti-spyware, and manage both. You've probably both. You can buy programs like this at any store, or there are free alternatives, you can find on the net. we hope you can get it stable enough that you can at least copy of your important files to an inch or hard disk.

Your college have a computer support service? Many colleges do, and they are trained and experienced to help students deal with mechanical failures and virus attacks.
