XP If you put the disc into the drive and reboot should request that you want to repair or relocate

sounds like your windows is corrupt , you may need to reformatting your hard disk to solve this problem
First try to start in safemode (when your computer starts, press f8 for start-up options, and then choose Safe Mode), it may be a lot of other things too, I had start-up problems because of too many antivirus or video card problems too.
