1st Level Helpdesk interview question.?

We went to an interview for the 1st level of support and asked, "how are you remove a virus from a computer?
my answer was a good updated antivirus software and also try to safe-mode.
Q2. What if the Anti-virus can not delete this file?
I said, find the location of the file and try to delete from the heart this very spot.
Q3. what if Windows will not delete this file?
I would simply like format where a backup.

ok, some of those answers were wrong told by the interviewer. someone could give me the right answers to these please, so I know what and to do all that?

password protected DVD/CD?

I know I can zip files and password protect the zip archive or I can protect a password using a backup Nero BackItUp request, but I want files available in the explorer at CD / DVD is inserted, without having to decompress or restore them first. it is burning software that can save password.

I must put the files on my computer and then burn them onto a DVD but everyone wants to meet only software that burns on a dvd ...........

as far as my DVDShrink does not work I need another sumthing and free ... yes free.
and since this DVD, it owns the copyrights I need software that can still do the job, I was using SlySoft AnyDVD, but the trail ended.
if I just want my preferred backup dvd but laws make it so difficult to please help me with this problem.

should i use hp system recovery? college finals are coming up, how do i fix my virus infected computer?!?

I have a HP Pavilion a800n. I think its got viruses, spyware, hackers or one of the good things. Basically this is messed up. When I turn on the desktop wallpaper changes "you have fatal errors on your PC because of spy ware" and get a lot of pop up and its slow. I cannot do anything! I tried to restore the system and it does not, I can not even open the task manager bc he said its been disabled by the administrator? How do I get rid of these problems? I want to HP system but I absolutely help you get my deleted files, and if I need to save my files, how do I do that? Or should I go and buy antivirus software? [typing this from a friend of my laptop computers bc not usable] PLEASE PLEASE HELP PLEASE!

Handheld devise: iPAQ 3955 Internal Battery?

The internal battery on my HP iPAQ 3955 model is dead and I just order a replacement battery online. QUESTION # 1: Is it relatively easy to open the back of the iPAQ and replace the battery? When my battery is about me, the synchronization software does not load and on the iPAQ cradle dien't work - in a word, it would'nt even light up when I click on POWER, # 2 QUESTION: Is my data still be on my iPAQ?
QUESTION # 3: Any other handheld devices based on Windows or even an HP iPAQ - which has a removable Memory Card / Memory Stick you can simply delete box in your laptop and do backup / synchronization of your data this way instead of what I 'm doing now, which is the first download the software on each computer or laptop I want Sync / Bankup data on my iPAQ, then bear this heavy, heavy with synchronization cradle I plug it between the computer / laptop and iPAQ and wait for hours to enable synchronization.

I prefer to get a handheld Windows-based and I will not use it as a cell

Help solve DVD Slow Burn Rate.?

I backup my files AVI my external drive to DVD. Although the target rate of burning up the software detects is 8X, the burning rate is still between 3.1-3.5x. It takes about 35 minutes to burn a DVD. Is my PC bottleneck? What are the ways to improve it if you do not think my PC is the bottleneck?
I have another burner (nonSony) and burning the same slow. Please help.

PC: Pentium 3: 800 Mhz (I know it's old)
