if you want it to get a set of office. The truth of the matter is that you will not be moving around your laptop (I doubt that this model is very portable and probably a bad battery). If you buy a desktop computer with the same characteristics you will save a lot of money

Yes I would like to talk about spending money on this computer. It is made by Dell, one of the few companies I did contact with a barge pole since the quality of their systems descent big time.

Probably not. But if I let your mother know you are planning a coup on your savings, I am sure she can tell you about it. (LOL)
(It looks like a beautiful machine if you can afford it.)

I did my research with it. Dell PC / laptops are actually more quotes. Check / google "Lenovo" computers. They are always elegant and what you want, but especially "more affordable" at least

heart of 15 years or less, YES! computers change as often as you change underwear ... all its fine now, but next month he will again refuse ... get what you need, and gradually upgrade ...

As soon as you exit the box, it is obsolete.
You are doomed to failure. NEC

Try half the price for the same thing

As has been said, you should talk about what you plan to do with this machine. It looks like a very high-end laptop, and it has been my experience with laptops that you must remain the knee-high. The high-end qualities of this laptop, while his wonderful, it will be quite the burden to carry.
I have gone through 10 laptops during the last 12 years, and stick with my $ 500 Toshiba from that time. My $ 2200 laptops have all been replaced by desktop computers and an iMac.
FWIW, I currently work with two laptops (one for work, one for play), two desktop computers, a server and an iMac for video editing. My favorite laptop so far over everything else is a Black Friday Special Toshiba BestBuy for $ 300 3 years. The only thing that has been changed, it is an upgrade of memory and new hard drive.

Personally, I think buying a new computer is a waste of money. I am a guy GRAND computer, but most of what I do is right:
Internet
word processing
Photoshop
Dreamweaver (Web design software)
Email
I watch all my films and television through my PC
I have 3 computers at home (room, bedroom and living room) and they are all P3 866mhz, except for the laptop which is a 1.1 GHz P4. They run a lot. I bought for about $ 250 a period of two years ago, and then sell for under $ 100.
I'm not suggesting get a P3, but I say that you can get a fairly decent computer for less than $ 600. Unless you are a player: in this case, spend your life savings on a new computer every 12 months. ;)
So the real question here is: What do you do with your computer?
You've responded to what you are going to do so this is my details:
Because you use for presentations, and I did not realize that we are talking about ' a laptop, here is my opinion:

He is entitled to 100% with these statements and I feel the same way. My girlfriend has a $ 600 DELL refurbished laptop from Future Shop (What I hate btw, Future Shop and Dell) and I must admit that this is a kick-*** laptop. 2600 $ is a lot of stuff to pay for any computer, unless you REALLY specific requirements. Save your money for the projector that you 'll probably need to do so.
For God's sake, what you get, insist that it comes with XP, not Vista. When running Vista, you'll double need the computer that you had with XP for its very functioning.
Good Luck! Find these computer Refurbished dealers near you!

Yes I would. Allows you to skip this step by step. His first-
a Dell. If you want a computer with the same specifications, you can get parts and build yourself (or find someone else to build it) for about $ 500 - 1000 $ less.
The second sound card you have chosen to use both the words integrated and HD. They are usually mutually exclusive. It seems to be a kind of regime placed on you by our friends at Dell. < br>
Well, I suppose that the first reason, it is the main, try to find a friend who will build for you, give it the characteristics and see what kind of price he / she faces . If you do not know anybody, try to find a shop near you (no chains, no evil companies) and see what kind of prices they offer. Then, if it breaks, you n 't have to send away and wait weeks to get it back, you just drive down the street.

If you look at these figures .. I hold out for something better, or lower prices . Not to mention Windows Vista Ultimate is not worth the upgrade. I doubt wait 7 for Windows or to request an installation of Windows XP. But then you lose support for DirectX10 for Thursday (although I do not think that there are many games that were written for even DX10). If anything, I am your lowest figures and look into the possibility of the update.
You can find many right questions to www.newegg.com computer to compare the cost of obtaining the 4gig of ram to get equivalent or better at a site like Newegg. furthermore, this RPM hard drive are a bit lacking .. I you are looking for something more in the range of 7200 for sure .. The sooner the better. A large number of other characteristics seem unnecessary. Do you have a disk drive Blueray ... You can probably lower the standards on the computer for better performance of the market after updates. Personally, I recommend you go shopping, because you can find good systems that have a lot of power without duvet and Dell puts things in them.
Basically, I do not know if this system is worth falling on 2.5K.
