For making copies of DVD's what single DVD-RW or DVD-Read + DVD-RW pair would you recommend?

... For use with Alcohol 120% accuracy. I use the software and hardware to make backups of my own legal software for personal use, and I am tired of mix CDs when I want to change games, and I am tired of paying full price to replace a broken record.

The disc is not really matter. I have a generic LG 16X DVD / - R / RW and it works fine for making backup copies. Remember that you will need a program like AnyDVD works in the background to disable copy protection on DVDs source before you can make a copy.

Another option instead of making back-up copies is to create a disk image of the DVD and mounted on a virtual disk. The main part of your hard drive and made a "simulated" DVD-ROM. Your program will think the disk in the drive, when in fact it's just reading the hard drive, saving wear on the drive and also run faster. It uses a lot of disk space if you have a large collection of DVDs, though. WinISO is a good tool for this if you want to try. Again, you need AnyDVD works in the background to disable the PC or iso image is corrupt.
