If I want to back up all my data files, such as text files, HTML files and so on CD or DVD or other storage media simple, do I need to install software for it? Is there a free software to do such things? Thank you in advance.

I do not know if that is what you call the environment in XP like my computer is not an English version. And I guess that part: start> all programs> application> resetup hard ... (tool from here there are too many options for you to choose a) resetup by the computer CD / DVD-ROM, b) the application will be Installed with CD / DVD-ROM = Here you choose which particular applications, or data files that you want to save), and click OK burn.
* Or maybe I think that is one too: you can use a restore point, but I strongly recommend you use a software program such Ghost or Drive Image.
