I try to convence my boss to allow us to move from a 3rd NTBackup part of the program's backup software, such as Symantec BackupExec. My brother told me about this place fianc�, and I told myself that I had to try it. I sense that I am embarrassed tech geek who does not have all its files backed up, with the exception of certain codes stored on a small USB drive.

Can you give me some advice for this kind of disk I should look? The only brands that I have heard good things about Seagate and Maxtor. What should I look for when buying one and what is just unnecessary fluff? I believe that an external USB 2.0 would be better.

Also, any site where I can get a fair deal? Or should I just go pricewatch, fatwallet, pricegrabber and newegg? I am looking to spend $ 100 or less. If it is to apply for a home and came to a CD or DVD, a copy of a CD or DVD. Be sure to back up your key information.

If the software was installed via the Internet, the best thing you can do in most cases is to save the relationship that you used to get the software.

If the software is a business app, then it is best to contact the seller and make their recommendations. Other than that, make a backup copy of the file system and put it on tape.

You can simply save your entire operating system, including drivers from outside hdd. As for specific software, I recommend the use of Acronis True Image.

If a complete picture and several incremental have been created, all of these images must be saved in the same folder, so that you will be able to restore data. If one of the images incremental or image is deleted, there is no way to restore the whole, given that they are all dependent on each other.

I saw tapes that individial contain up to 8.32 terabytes. The tape cost $ 4500. An option of hard disk storage will be an array of hard drives and many would cost a LOT more. I did a quick search and it would need 8TB thirty-two 250GB readers not to mention an enclosure for these readers. The one I found cost 75K. Band is much cheaper.

The problem is that we do not have to restore the proper procedure in place for the most part - the fact that we have no machines that can read the tapes and other servers which made them (and could be useless a back on track.)

So, I began to try to save the data on small USB flash drives. All data will be stored on tape from outside 30 concert, 20 of this is that the archived data we would not need access to the USB drive in an emergency.

Anyway, with a USB stick, it could simply hook up a laptop and get our data from there.

if you use XP Pro or Windows 2000 pro when your computer is already supplied with NTBackup. Just go to Start -- turn then type ntbackup. This should open the wizard.

I need something free (or as cheaply as possible), not output 1:1 size (unilaterally DVD would 700MB HD, and not 5GB-size DVD), will get rid of Macrovision protection, and production stable AC / HD images. There are plenty 2 hours HD DVD on the sites of sharing files, then there is something outthere! All I can find on the Net are garbage free trials that produce enormous files chopped horrible and want high quality of dollars for him! Please help, gurus outhere!
